3. 副词比较级的用法
1) 单独使用
* Who draws better，Jenny or Danny? 谁画得比较好，詹妮还是丹尼？
* He works hard, but she works still harder. 他工作很努力，但她工作更努力。
* Could you please put it more simply? 您可以再简洁一点吗？

2) 和than 搭配使用
* She gets to school earlier than the other students. 她比别的学生早到学校。
* Light travels faster than sound. 光比声音传播得快。
* He works less than he used to. 他工作的时间比过去少了。
* He drove more carefully than I. 他开车比我小心。

3) 副词比较级前面可有状语修饰
* This train runs much faster than that one. 这辆火车比那辆跑地快。
* Can you do any better on this job? 你这件事情能不能做得更好些?
* Peter works a lot harder than before. 彼得现在工作比以前努力很多。
* She drove much more carefully than I. 她开车比我小心很多。

4. 副词比较级的一些特殊结构
1) more and more 结构
* It is raining more and more heavily now. 现在雨下得越来越大了。
* We're going more and more slowly. 我们越走越慢了。
* He ran faster and faster, disappearing finally. 他越跑越快，最终不见了。

2) the + 比较级…, the + 比较级…
* The harder you work, the better you'll learn. 你越努力，学得越好。
* The more she flatters me, the less I like her. 她越逢迎我,我越不喜欢她。

3） as…as 和 not so/as…as 结构
a）as…as 意思为 “和…一样”
* He walks as slowly as you. 他走路像你那样慢。
* Lucy speaks Chinese as well as Lily. 露丝讲中文和莉莉一样好。
* We'll get there as soon as you do. 你一到，我们就到。
* Your pen writes as smoothly as mine. 你的钢笔书写起来和我的一样流畅。
* The detective is searching the man as carefully as he can. 那个侦探正在尽可能仔细地搜那个男子的身。

b) not so/as…as 意思为 “不像…那样”
* She didn't sing so well as she usually does. 她没有像往常一样唱得好。
* He doesn't study so hard as his brother. 他学习不如他弟弟努力。
* I don't go there as much as I used to. 我现在到那里不像过去那么多了。

c）第一个 as (或 so)之前可以有修饰语
She can read twice as fast as he does. 她的阅读速度比他快一倍。
Women talk three times as much as men. 女人说话相当于男人的三倍那么多。

5．副词最高级的用法
副词最高级可修饰动词， 前面多数不带定冠词 the。
* I get up earliest in my family. 我在家里起得最早。
* He jumps highest of the three. 三个人中他跑得最快。
* Of all the boys he sings most beautifully. 三个男孩当中，他唱歌最好听。
