英语量词

英语量词不是一种词类，而是指一些表示数量的词或词组。包括以下类别：

1. 数词 (包括基数词，分数，百分数，小数等)，如: one, two, one-third, 40%, half等。
There are three tips for successfully creating good accelerators. 成功创建好的加速器有如下3个窍门。
Would Oxford get three times the sales at one-third the cost? 牛津词典以三分之一的价钱能多销三倍吗?

2. 不定代词，如:　some, any, many, much, few, a few, little, a little, none 等
I have ordered some new clothes for you. 我给你订购了一些新衣服。
He only spent a few days preparing for the exam. 他只花几天时间准备考试。

3. 表示数量的限定词，这类词很多，常见的有：

several, a number of, a couple of 几个，若干
most 大多数

a lot (of) plenty of, lots of 大量，许多

a bit (of), a little (of) 少量，一点，少许

a large/great amount of 大量
a small amount of 少量

a large/great quantity of 大量
a small quantity of 少量

a great/large number of 大量
a small number of 少量

4. 与数量有关的合成词
He was sent to prison for counterfeiting five-dollar bills. 他因伪造5美元的钞票被捕入狱。
The lecturer asked us to write a one-page summary of the article. 老师叫我们写一份一页长的文章总结。

5. “名词 + of”
“名词 + of”结构表示数量的情况很多。这种结构中的名词可以是表示数量、容器、形状、群/组等的词。详细可见《名词 + of 构成的量词》一文。
The hostess iced two bottles of beer for her guests. 女主人为客人冰了瓶啤酒。
We only need a small amount of fuel. 我们只需要少量的燃料。
He had not a grain of physical fear. 他一点也不害怕。
They had done a mountain of work before making a breakthrough. 他们做了大量的工作才取得突破。

英语量词除了作定语之外，还可以作主语和宾语等，如：
Nearly one-third of American households consist of only one person. 几乎三分之一的美国家庭只由一个人组成。
We retail most of the products to overseas customers. 我们把这些产品大部分零售给海外顾客。
I only need a few. 我只需要几个就够了。
