Railway officials in southern India say the death toll for a fire on a train has risen to 26 people.
Authorities say at least seven people were injured when the fire broke out on one of the coaches of the train early Saturday in Andhra Pradesh state.
Officials say most of the passengers were sleeping when the fire started.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but authorities suspect it was caused by a short circuit.
The train was traveling from Bangalore to Nanded in the western state of Maharashtra.
